Let the Attitude be Gratitude
May 29, 2026
Gathering together with family to celebrate and give thanks reminds us to practice the art of Gratitude. There are many who do not have family during the holidays and this reminds us to be gentle and kind to others, including ourselves. We are alive, and this life is precious, ephemeral and sacred. It’s important to take time to give yourself gifts, to elevate and evolve by offering yourself love and respect. You have gifts, it’s time to recognize your gifts, to acknowledge what you offer as a unique being so you can reach out to the world with your praise and gratitude. The kind of praise that wells up in your heart with the joy and innocence of a child.
I use gratitude as a staple of my work as a Myofascial Release Therapist and Injury Specialist. Breath in loving energy and exhale to distribute and offer gratitude to your body. This helps to regulate your nervous system and aid in the parasympathetic rest and digest, the opposite of fight or flight. Offering thanks as you breathe can cultivate and deepen your relationship with yourself. Breath into the parts of your body you might feel disconnected to, to bring them back into the fold. It can be the juice to your orange, the oil to your salad, the unsqueak to your wheel. Breath is a stream of currency, your free gift from all of the plants, trees and your natural environment that are offering tangible love to you, right under your nose the whole time. Bring your consciousness to your breath and you can more deeply receive this powerful gift and transform your life.
In The Power of Heart Coherence in Mental Health, Heart Math speaks about heart coherence that occurs when our body’s systems -our breathing, heart rhythms, brain rhythms, and hormonal response -are in sync with each other. A simple practice of taking some deeper breaths intentionally: A 5 second inhale followed by a 5 second exhale. Try it for a minute and then for 5 minutes; you can bring about emotional shifts by placing your hand on your heart and thinking of a fond memory that brings you joy, peace and love. It is truly exquisite in its simplicity.
I am so grateful, I get to help people get out of chronic pain patterns and back to the activities they love with Myofascial Release. I help people with acute and chronic conditions find ease, and comfort in different positions and a wider range of movement with MFR. Myofascial Release is a gentle, safe and effective specialized bodywork technique. MFR delivers superior results by treating your symptoms at their source. MFR can help you and your loved ones to get out of pain, and back into an active lifestyle. It’s important during this time to give to yourself. To find relief in your body, and to get treated.
MFR improves balance and coordination, you will stand taller and walk better. MFR treats each individual for their unique symptoms. I have successfully treated people with spinal cord injuries, vertebral deviations, herniated discs, pinched nerves, sciatica, cranial, spinal, sacral and coccyx fractures, lesions, muscle, ligament and tendon tears, scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis, barrel chest, hunch back, open heart surgery, hysterectomy, breast implants, mastectomy, pelvic imbalance, back pain, trouble walking, compression of the spine, migraines, vertigo, dysphonia, pleural effusion, brain aneurysm, stroke, hand foot and ankle injuries, whiplash, spinal cysts, bursas, knee, hip impingements, replacements, shorter leg, hypertonic psoas, restless leg syndrome, neuropathy etc.
I have helped multiple people recently to be able to walk when their physicians have said they don’t know how they are walking given their current conditions seeing the X-Rays and MRI readings. I have a woman who comes in because she has kyphosis and her hips are pushed so far forward that her upper back has to lean back and her head juts out in front. She has a hunch in her spine and it is all slowly melting. She is becoming aware in her daily life and changing the positioning of her hips. We are working together and she is changing, she is learning how to notice that she takes on tension, and she is learning how to reside in more relaxed positions that are more healthy posturally. She finds relief from her pain and inflammation and she is noticing and always remarks on her improvement.
I have a lifelong passion that is fulfilled in being present with and for you, in helping you to discover your potential, in relieving the grip of tightness and contraction, and in helping you find and maintain your center to live in your best self, your greater balance. I help you learn how to relax your body, to unwind the tension and to be able to live in a relaxed alive state. Here awareness exponentially touches your life and through awareness you heal.
I know first hand what it is like to be injured. The fear of never being able to walk again, the worry of whether you’ll be able to work, do the dishes and bring home the bread. All these simple things become profoundly difficult when you don’t feel able to do the simplest of things. I can help. I offer a comprehensive body read, where I look at your posture standing and see what is creating your unique fascial restrictions. I see how your body has uneven tension that causes the fascial lines to become taught, bound and tight. These are the areas we treat. I assess your gait- the way you walk. We go over what happens and whe. We detective to learn and understand what may be causing the symptoms you’re experiencing.
Most often healthcare overlooks the symptoms and looks to treat with a pharmaceutical allopathic approach. With MFR we understand the muscular skeletal fascial system is interconnected and woven together. As a fascial matrix any tension relates to the rest of the body and, these patterns of tension can be unwound, MFR releases these fascial restrictions in your body.
Fascial Restrictions can be like a straightjacket, like rods of steel with up to 2000 lbs psi. That’s a lot of pressure, we want to be able to tune in to the pressure within us. To breathe and release that tension. When injury and trauma happens the body can lock up the fascia in that area and other areas to remain upright, to keep doing the activities that are required of it. The fascia can rip tear wear and break down, and it can also heal and weave back together. so we want it to be in the best way possible, organized and aligned. When we release fascial restrictions with Myofascial release and the fascia becomes hydrated, fluid and in flow state. Your collagen and elastin in every fiber of your being will thank you.
One thing I hear so consistently on my table is awe my body is thanking me for being here. Your body deserves attention, healing and gratitude.
