Seeking Help is a Big Step

Jun 02, 2026

It can be hard to reach out and seek help. We may be hyper independent, or have ideas that asking for help might mean something about ourselves. When we need help we may think we are revealing our weakness, or our vulnerability. Sometimes we can stay stuck in belief systems that will stop us from seeking the help we need. We have excuses, we have problems that compile. Sometimes we have to admit that we need help, in order to receive the help that is available.

When we really tune into the fact that we may not be able to do it all on our own, this can bring up some difficult thoughts and feelings. Feeling defeat, or loss of hope is normal. It’s ok. It’s ok to not know how things will turn out. When you’re faced with a challenge, it can seem like an obstacle, and with a diagnosis, it’s normal to feel a whole lot of difficult highly uncomfortable feelings. You may think quite a few thoughts that may lead you to a negative feedback loop, or the worst case scenario. We may not even actually be what we believe. It may just be part of the process, part of acknowledging what we are really thinking and feeling.

You may have been trying all the alternatives, you thought acupuncture might do it, maybe chiropractor, maybe massage. Most of the time when you go into the doctor saying you have pain, there is a good chance they will give you pills, shots or suggest surgery. When you get a diagnosis it may seem like a sentence. And there may be different answers if you start to ask different questions.

If you have mystery pain, pain that migrates, pain in joints, inflammation, bulging discs, if they are telling you need surgery or trying to give you medication in the form of muscle relaxers or cortisone shots… you have fascial restrictions. Taking a pill or shot does not address the underlying issue that is the source of the problem.

Fascia is wrapping every single cell of your body. It bathes the cell in interstitial fluid, it is your blood, your tissues, your skin organs, muscles ligaments, tendons and your bone. Fascia can either be hydrated collagen rich or it can be dense, brittle, calcified and inflexible. Your fascia can be treated to melt, and hydrate the tissue. Support your fascial health and get yourself treated with MFR Myofascial Release.

Because cell function relies upon space within and surrounding the cell for completing cell processes like receiving nutrients and eliminating wastes it is important that there are not extreme pressures pulling and pushing upon the cells. We can look at the functioning of the organs for instance, if there are tissues adhered or pulling upon the organs, they will function less efficiently. Fascial restriction can be the source of dysfunction in all systems of the body.

Take the heart for instance, each cell of the heart is wrapped in fascia and every time a heart cell adds to itself it is again wrapped in fascia, and then the whole heart is wrapped in a layer of fascia. This fascia is either hydrated, fluid and transmitting information, nutrients and wastes, or it becomes glued down, restricted and tight. These restrictions can act like a saran wrap that adheres and wraps putting pressure on the sensitive structures and blocking function and flow, movement in physiological systems is life.

There are many ailments and diagnoses that can be addressed with MFR. A few days ago a woman was treated for incontinence, she is no longer experiencing the symptoms. She also reported being able to sleep on her back after not being able, ever. Bulging herniated discs, scoliosis, shoulder, cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral spinal injuries, women with fertility and other women’s health issues, people suffering from PTSD, those with chronic and acute pain, and those with injury and mental and emotional patterns trauma, abuse.
